Mexican Silver Diamond Cut Demi Parure

Hi everyone! I didn't get the picture I promised posted but will save that comparison for another time. I had a dental emergency this week and let's just say 'OUCH' and move on to things more pleasant and more immediately at hand.
Anyone care to play detective today? This beautiful finely made demi parure is a puzzlement to me. Is is Mexican Nielloware? I thought that Niello ware was only produced in Thailand.
However, the shiny diamond cut areas have a glassy sheen. These are truly superb in quality....but before I list them, I have to know what they are called.
Holmes? Watson? Anyone?

I am simply going by the pictures - are you sure it's not black enamel rather than the nielloware mixture making the black part? Regardless of what it is, it looks like a stunning set!
